X-Kalay follow up on the success of Kask’s Periferia EP with a four tracker of blasted out acid jams from Rome based Pearl River Sound.

Lost tapes recovered from the charred rubble of a post-apocalyptic melt down ‘Kiss My smiling Face’ is a relic from the distant future. Pearl River Sound has, to this point, kept a low profile - instead choosing to keep himself holed up away from the horror, emerging only briefly in 2015 to drop his debut 12” via the R&S affiliated Meda Fury Records. In his latest outing, we are mercilessly pushed to the edge, eyelids forced open to witness the terror unfold…

‘Acid Arabo’ rips open the A-side with a twisting 303, bleak pads, and punching drums hammered out through a bullet ridden sequencer. This is the nuclear, nightmare version of everyone’s favourite Acid Trax cut. ‘Oberhacid’ hits like DJ Pierre meets Paranoid London - a straight to tape jam, salvaged from the twisted remains of a burnt out Oberheim…

Flip to the B and ‘Lord of A-A-Acid’ brings a change of pace, the huge kick pins us down whilst the tension builds amongst the skittish, lucid vocal cuts. This one is huge!

‘Junglenation’ is the final assault, a crazed jungle breakcore explosion. Full blown guerrilla engagement orchestrated by the mangled minds of Caspa and Remarc in the throes of a hellish ket hole. You just can’t look away…
